Meet The Cat House Team!
Hello! We are a small team of staff and volunteers who are crazy about cats!
The Cat House (aka TCH) was created with the goal to provide a different adoption experience! A zero pressure environment where cat people can enjoy the company of adoptable cats for the sake of cat therapy or with the intention to adopt :)
We have created such a wonderful community of Cat People since opening and we say thank you so so much for welcoming us and the lounge cats to Roselle!
Meet Irene (the lady behind TCH)
Hello! My name is Irene (she/her) and I am the crazy cat lady behind The Cat House.
My cat Lisa inspired me to open TCH because I adopted her from a no kill animal shelter and I wanted to help local cat rescues adopt more cats out!
Since I adopted Lisa in 2018, I have been very passionate about rescuing and fostering cats.
Opening The Cat House is a dream come true for me. It is so fulfilling to see the lounge cats find their furrever homes. And it is so amazing to meet other cat people in the community!
Lisa is the love of my life. She was born with her back legs paralyzed and wears a diaper because of her special needs. She has no clue she is different than other cats though! Lisa is feisty, sassy, and knows it’s her duty to lay on my chest and purrr when I’m needing cat therapy :)
